Sunita Karki, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who sees patients of all ages at UT Health East Texas Physicians at North Tyler on Gentry Parkway. "My care philopsohy is health prevention, promotion and treatment through compassionate care."
Her special areas of medical interest include treatment for chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol and underactive thyroid, as well as treatment for acute care issues, such as cold or the flu.
She chose to pursue a career in healthcare because she wanted to make a difference in people's lives by helping them make informed choices for a healthier lifestyle. "I wanted to act as a first responder for various health problems people face, while providing quality care and making appropriate referrals as needed."
Karki speaks English, Nepali, Hindi and some medical Spanish.
