Dr. Ray Scardina specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, providing evaluation and treatment of the varied conditions and problems in youth. He has practiced in Tyler for 30 years and has particular interest in autism spectrum disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Dr. Scardina strives for accurate diagnosis, and treatment aimed at reducing the impact of problems, helping patients to use and develop their strengths.

Dr. Scardina is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.

We have seen Dr. Scardina for a great many years. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of medications and interactions and actively teaches parent and patient about their condition, treatment and how it affects the body. I have never doubted his level of concern for my children or his dedication to finding the perfect cocktail of meds to keep them safe. I literally trust him with my children’s lives.
