Types of Care

Pediatric Care

We put the health needs of your child first. It’s important to provide a friendly and non-threatening setting where your child can feel as comfortable as possible. So please don’t be surprised if we greet your child first!

If your child is sick and you are concerned about whether or not your child needs to be seen, please call us first. We will help you decide whether to bring your child in to see the doctor. We offer same-day appointments for sick children.

We also care for fragile children, and provide management of chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, obesity, and behavioral, developmental, and emotional issues. Our well-child and newborn care includes:

  • Immunizations
  • Assessment of growth and development
  • Vision/hearing screenings
  • Lead and anemia screenings
  • School physicals

Adolescent Care

Teens can face a wide range of challenging medical, psychological, and social issues. We offer comprehensive and coordinated care with special attention to education, community resources referral, and support for self-care. Adolescents ages 13 to 18 receive routine healthcare services and other care including:

  • Acne
  • Adolescent growth and development needs
  • Addictive substance use (alcohol, cigarettes, drugs)
  • Chronic illnesses and conditions
  • Depression, anxiety, and other psychological problems
  • Obesity, weight control, and physical activity
  • Immunizations and vaccinations
  • Sexually transmitted diseases

Women’s Health

From childbirth to menopause and beyond, a woman’s special health needs are an important part of the care we provide. In addition to education, community resources referral, and self-care support, our family medicine practitioners offer gynecological services including:

  • Annual Pap test and breast exams
  • Common gynecological procedures
  • Contraceptive management
  • Hormone replacement therapy
  • HPV vaccine
  • Mammography
  • Perimenopausal and menopausal changes
  • PMS management
  • Post-partum care

Sports Medicine and Physicals

We work with local school districts to perform routine sports physicals required for children to participate in school sports. In addition, patients can schedule an individual appointment in the Family Health Clinic. We also have physicians trained in sports medicine who can diagnose and treat sports injuries or refer the patient to another specialist.
